Sam Hunt

Sam started Cricfit in March 2020 just as lockdown began with the simple goal of educating Cricketers about the physical side of the game.

Having played cricket to a high level growing up, Sam has been coaching hundreds of cricketers from all across the world for over 5 years including many fast bowlers.

Sam’s mission is simple: to help cricketers of any level train like the pros, without needing a contract.

I’m not a pro cricketer...is this programme right for me?

Absolutely. Our programmes are built for serious club cricketers who want real results, not just pros. Although, we work with semi-pro and pro players also. If you're a batter, keeper or junior, send an email to sam@cricfit.co.uk and Sam will help you out

Do I need access to a gym?

For our Specialist Bowler, programme, yes. But Bespoke Programmes we can build your programme around any setup whether you train in a fully equipped gym, at home, or even outdoors. We’ll use whatever you have available to get you results.

What if I have an injury or past niggles?

No problem. Many players come to us dealing with injuries or old niggles. We recommend a bespoke programme in this case so it will be designed around your injury history and help you train safely, improve mobility, and build strength to reduce the chance of future issues. If you are early stage rehab though we will want to liaise with a physio first so email us to give us more info - sam@cricfit.co.uk

How much time do I need to commit each week?

It’s flexible. Most players train 3-5 times per week, but on a bespoke programme we’ll adjust your plan to your life and cricket schedule. Some weeks you might have more time, some less, that’s why we check in regularly and keep things realistic.

Why not just follow a free workout online?

Generic workouts aren’t built for cricketers or for you specifically. They don’t consider your role, injury history, schedule, or facilities. With the Bespoke Programme, every session you do is designed to transfer directly to your cricket performance, so you’re not wasting time on exercises that don’t help you on the field.
